Hi there,

I've installed KuneriLite version 0.9.6.2 and all the needed programs (Perl, Symbian, etc) stated in the "Prepare your PC for KuneriLite". I've also changed the path variables accordingly (at least that's what I think  ).

The problem is everytime I run the "Test your KuneriLite Setup" I get an error at the end saying "The system cannot find the path specified......  Compilation Failed! Check your SDK environment and MySIS arguments!"

Here are the lines from the command window:

"Using rsc\ as default KuneriLite path.
Projects\KuneriLiteTest\KuneriLiteTest.pkg is successfully created.

MySIS by Kuneri. All rights reserved.

Using rsc\ as default KuneriLite path.
Basic version detected
Using AF115151(generated) as UID.
Using rsc\default.svg as default icon.
Using GCCE as default compiler.
Using 0.1.0 as default version number.
Not using KuneriLite, just generating SWF launcher.
Using 1001 as default communication port.
Using AF115151 as SIS package UID.
Installation path: \KuneriLiteTest
Please wait... this will take some seconds.

KuneriLite Basic ver. 0.9.6.2 by Kuneri

Processing.......The system cannot find the path specified.
.......
Compilation failed! Check your SDK environment and MySIS arguments!"

I'm using Windows Vista and I'm trying to have this installed and running for a few days now. I've already reinstalled everything but the same error occurs.

I've read trough the forum but the solutions I found don't seem to work (e.g., I have Symbian and KuneriLite both installed in my C: drive, although not on the same folder).

Can you please help? I would really like to start exploring this great tool, but I'm stuck on this first step

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
DRomao

Hi,
S60 SDK needs some tuning before it works with Vista.. there are detailed instructions to made it work: in our Wiki and in Nokia Forum, where Nokia's is mostly meant for Symbian-savvy developers..

http://wiki.kunerilite.net/index.php?title=Microsoft_Vista_support

Psst.. you can check KuneriLite\kldebug1.txt for detailed SDK tool error messages.

Cheers,

Hi,

I went through the steps described for making KuneriLite work with Vista (http://wiki.kunerilite.net/index.php?title=Microsoft_Vista_support) , but I wasn't able to put it to work yet... Sad

I now have the error:

**********

Using rsc\ as default KuneriLite path.
Projects\KuneriLiteTest\KuneriLiteTest.pkg is successfully created.
Link to notes file Projects\KuneriLiteTest\release.txt is successfully added into
 Projects\KuneriLiteTest\KuneriLiteTest.pkg.

Installation path: \KuneriLiteTest
Please wait... this will take some seconds.

************

I made steps 1, 2, and 3 with no doubt.

Regarding step 4 i'm not sure I did the changes to the gcce.mk correctly...

Here is what I changed for CC_INSTALL_PATH and SYMBIAN_UREL_LINK_FLAGS:

.
.
.
# Compiler Installation Location
CC_INSTALL_PATH="C:\Program Files\CSL Arm Toolchain\lib\gcc\arm-none-symbianelf\3.4.3"
.
.
.
# Path to pick the header files from the Compiler installation directory
COMPILER_INCLUDE_PATH=$(CC_INSTALL_PATH)\include
.
.
.
# Linker option common to all link commands for UREL build
SYMBIAN_UREL_LINK_FLAGS=-L"c:\program files\csl arm toolchain\arm-none-symbianelf\lib" -L"c:\program files\csl arm toolchain\lib\gcc\arm-none-symbianelf\3.4.3"
.
.
.
# Linker Options
.
.
export  SYMBIAN_UREL_LINK_FLAGS
.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I can not find the file kldebug1.txt. Is it a hidden file on the main KuneriLite folder?

Cheers,
DRomao

Hi,

It's working now! I remade all the adaptations for Vista and it started working, finally! I don't know exactly what I had wrong, but the solution was in those four steps for sure Smiley

Thanks for helping!

Great to hear that Smiley

it might be that rebooting helps after those steps?

Actually I didn't make any reboot and it still worked. Nevertheless, rebooting is very often an effective solution Smiley

everytime i check the setup the command prompt displays a message : SDK or environment not installed. What could be the reason. Restarting the machine also does not solve the problems
