I tried to make my signed SIS using Kunerilite.

Everything goes well but after I choose where to put my application. It says :
Erreur de Mise ? Jour"
>>> In english : "Update error".

Any clue ?

Edit: just find this : http://wiki.kunerilite.net/index.php?title=Common_error_messages

"Error message is displayed: "Update failed" or "Update error"
Reason: Free version of KuneriLite plug-ins do not support multiple installation,
you need to use non/commercial version instead.
Also this might origin from error below ("Unable to Install"). Solution: Please remove previous KuneriLite powered application from phone and try again. It else case, check error below."

Indeed, I installed the GPS example.
But I should have a commercial version of kunerilite using my cer and key as developer certificate ?
So ... where did I go wrong ?

I will try to uninstall the GPS example to see what happens.

Thanks.

Another problem !

In the Wizard, i forgot to specify : KLPath = C:\KuneriLite\rscn\
In RSCN, I put the file I got from you in email.

When I compile my SIS, and try to install it > it gives me a : "Installation Error".

Quote
Error message is displayed: "Unable to Install" or
"Certificate error. Contact the application supplier"
Reason: Certificate is not valid, phone rejected the signed SIS
Solution: Sign application with valid certificate Info
If not certificate should be required, check phone settings: Allow from Application Manager->Settings->Software Installation->All.
OR
you are installing new updated SIS, and installer coulnd't overwrite previous application. Check that these are same in BOTH applications: SWF and else file names, UIDs, application names, folder names and both are signed with same certificate.

Why did my phone rejected the signed SIS Huh
When I put nothing in KLPath, it installed without any problem !

Thank you for help.

About "Update failed" or "Update error"
You can install any application with your licensed set, I think you solved it?

Please check that you are not trying to overwrite files in the phone
(avoid using same paths with KuneriLite GPS tester).
It works like a charm here, I just use dedicated application installation directory Smiley

Also check the fields again, that password are correct etc. You should be able to install the *_signed file in the phone. Are you using developer certificate file (.cer) you downloaded from Symbiansigned?

Hope it solves out..

Yes, it's ok now.

"Please check that you are not trying to overwrite files in the phone"
I am not.

"Also check the fields again, that password are correct etc. You should be able to install the *_signed file in the phone. Are you using developer certificate file (.cer) you downloaded from Symbiansigned?"
Yes, definitely.

And I still get "Installation Error"...
I'll try again with different paths.

When I don't specify KL Path, installation works fine...
Why is this so ?

The installation stops always at about 80% of the progress bar of installation.

I really hope that some of following will help :

- Use only GPS (and/or Simple Protect) plug-in
- Check that there are no special characters in the Additional files
(actually in all files going to phone)

If it still doesn't install, please send us generated.pkg and .klw file.

You have still time if 15.12 is the deadline for submitting for Innovators.. Smiley

About UIDs ...

I put my UID (and Pkg UID the same)  like this : 2001FA5D
but my UIDs are : 0x2001FA5D - 0x2001FA61

Is this a problem ?

"- Use only GPS (and/or Simple Protect) plug-in"
I selected ONLY GPS in the list.

"- Check that there are no special characters in the Additional files"
I'll try to disable additionnal files to see if the problem comes from there.

Thanks !!!

Yes but our app is not bug free yet, I want the package to be OK right now.
Then I'll be able to stress on other important issues Smiley

UIDs sent by you, for the plug-ins are 0x2001FA5D - 0x2001FA61,
are now reserved by the plug-ins.
Use else UID for your application itself, otherwise install will fail.
(please check http://wiki.kunerilite.net/index.php?title=Using_Kunerilite_un/commercial_version)

It should work now if you correct UID field Smiley

Else ? Can I specify any number ?
Or should I go get another UID set on symbiansigned.com ?

Thank you !!

Great!

For testing, actually you can specify any number (or leave it empty)
For distributed, please allocate one from protected range (like you did above).

Cheers,

Thank you ! You really helped me a lot.

Here comes the next problem : "Server not found !"

I specified : "http://127.0.0.1:1001/ld3s2x/Gps?klCommand=start&"
There is my ID.

With your GPS Example and Basic, I had no problem with :

So why is my ID not working properly ?

http://wiki.kunerilite.net/index.php?title=Using_Kunerilite_un/commercial_version

Port 2001 ? Should I specify 2001 in the Wizard as well ?

Thanks !

Edit :

I found myself ! Sorry to disturb you all the time Smiley

I use port 2001 and it's working like a charm !

Thank you again for everything.
