Hi All,

I am tring to make the testing app signed from symbian-open-signed, but never get through.

The testing app shall use Camera, File GPS and Upload|Download plug-ins, so it has to be tested in real phones since the camera function is used. In KuneriLite sis maker(create project step 3/3, please see the attached screenshot), UID A000E1F6(requested from Symbian Signed) is filled in to the UID field, when I try to use KLTest_unsigned.sis to Open Signed Online, it gives this error message :

FAILURE: Submitted .sis file uses a UID that is not allocated to the account holder matching this email address (0xa000e1f6 0xa0002443 0xa0002445 0xa000262f 0xa0002630 0xa0002631 0xa0002449 0xa0002636 0xa0002637 0xa0002446 0xa000244c )

I also tried to use "0xA000E1F6 - 0xA000E204" in UID field at step 3/3, Create SIS panel, the message said "uid argument is illegal. It should be in a form A0001234.".

Also, the KLTest_signed.sis can not be installed in my N95 8GB, with the message "Required Application Access Not Granted".

Does any one can help me figure out how can I successfully create a s60 3rd useable sis file to test in phones with KuneriLite and Symbian Open Signed Online(the application would be integrated with Camera, File GPS and Upload|Download functions).

Cheers,
Shing Lau

Hi Shing Lau,

Symbian Open Signed Online allows to sign only applications whose UIDs are allocated to your own SymbianSigned account. So, afaik, you cannot use this process to sign a KuneriLite application by using the free version, since its UIDs are allocated to KuneriLite account.

Anyway, you can easily sign your application by using the Offline version of Open Signing, so:
* generating a certificate: https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/barclayhtml/devcert/requestupload.jsp
* and then using the key/certificate pair, by specifying their paths in the 3rd step of KuneriLite Wizard, together with the used password

If you don't have it, you'll need the Symbian DevCert Request Tool to generate you developer certificate:

http://developer.symbian.com/main/tools_and_sdks/developer_tools/critical/dev_cert_request/index.jsp

Hope it helps,
Pit
