Hey guys,

is it possible to use the socketserver on the phone, while developing locally? It would save a lot of time.

cheers,

Hi there,
welcome to Kuneri forum!

Can you describe the need more specifically?

We have KuneriLite Emulator comin in near future, it will enable KuneriLite
running in Windows environment, acting as localhost socketserver. That saves lot of development time indeed Smiley
Was that you meaning?

thanks, you are also welcome!

I want to run my dev app in my local IDE connecting to the phones socket server of Kunerilite. The device is connected to the local wlan. Instead of sending a request to localhost, sending it from my pc to the enabled phone.

Cheers

Related to that: I'm currently develping a core framework for a project. I'm trying to integrate a logging/debug system that is sending traces to a debugger located on my pc. I don't know why but a can't get a socket connection to a local network socket established from the device. I've tryed it with FL 3.0 developer edition. I also have a crossdomain.xml and so on. Do you know if there is anything crappy with the new version?

Thanks a lot

If I got this right, you are sending variables to a PC, using PC's IP address. The FL3 and its security sandbox is the issue here.
I would try this concept first with FL1.1/FL2.x.

Please let us know how it worked out.

hmm ..., we would appreciate to use version 3 because of the performance and memory improments. We had many bad issues with 2.1 in the last project.

What about the v3 support in kuneriLite? I have read something about "use external player" won't fit... is it because of the new paranoid sandbox?

We were discussing that on Forum Nokia, and Mark suggested a solution. We will try to make FL3 available as soon as possible. If everything works as expected, it sould be ready in next release (soon); which will come with System plugin and FL3 player launch and an emulator Wink

cheers,
